Our Team

Danny and Yen Slavens have served in full-time ministry for over 15 years. Beginning in 2009, they served faithfully under Pastor Matthew Barnett at the Los Angeles Dream Center. Danny served as Guest Relations manager, Yen served as Family Transitional Housing manager, and both served as mentors for recovery program participants. In early 2019, they planted a church in Lenexa, Kansas, called Real Church. Danny Slavens serves as lead pastor of Real Church, while Yen Slavens oversees the women’s ministry. Danny also sits on the KC Dream Center and Rended Heart board of directors. Danny and Yen have been married since May 2014 and have three living children: Annabella, Grayson, and Elliot, and one deceased child, Danni Ray.
